How to play Lantern Trail

One lantern, one gate, and a garden of stones. Your job is to connect them with a single uninterrupted path.

The four rules

  1. Begin at the stone marked ✦.
  2. Move to an adjacent stone: up, down, left, or right. Diagonal moves do not count.
  3. Visit every visible stone exactly once. Empty spaces are not part of the board.
  4. Reach the ◎ gate last. You cannot finish while unlit stones remain.

Tap, drag, or use a keyboard

On a phone, tap adjacent stones or slide your finger across the board. On a computer, click or drag. Keyboard players can use Tab to enter the board, arrow keys to move focus, and Enter or Space to select a stone.

Made a wrong turn?

Move back onto the previous stone to undo one step, or select Undo. Restart clears the current path. Hint replaces your current path with the beginning of one known solution; repeated hints reveal a longer beginning. There is no time limit and no penalty.

What counts as a win?

The gate must be the final stone, every visible stone must be included, and each move must be adjacent. Any path that satisfies the rules is accepted, even if it differs from the hint.
